TOBACCO BUYER AT PLANTERS WAREHOUSE

First backer I ever sold, I sold it at Greenville, Tennessee. There weren’t no trucks or nothing to haul it on and you had to take it in a wagon with horses. I think I got maybe $150. It was really good backer. I went and bought me some nice dresses, first one thing and then another to wear. I weren’t used to having no money myself to get nothing with. And I had the money then, when I made the backer, and I could go and get anything I wanted to with the money til I spent it all.
